Showcase: Deathwing Venerable Dreadnought

This Deathwing Dreadnought has been sitting around on my shelf for the better part of eight months so I finally decided to snap a few pictures of it. I haven't been doing much painting as of late so I figured snapping a few pictures of some stuff I had laying around would help inspire me to get back into the swing of things.

  1. Excellent work. How did you make the base?

    1. The rocks are made from cork sheets with basing grit glued down to give it a little extra texture. The I-beam is a piece of plastistrut I found in a local hobby shop. The rocks were primed black with progressively light shades of grey drybrushed on it to give it depth. The dirt was made with a wash made out a couple different earth tone pigments and water and the little shrubs are grass tufts from Army Painter.

All and all a pretty easy base to make without anything really fancy.
