Stormtalon Gunship

I got my hands on one of these bad boys today. There has been a lot of talk around the web about how much people dislike this model. Personally, I enjoy the look and I feel that it fits with the Space Marine aesthetic perfectly.
The actual building of the model was fairly straight forward. The instructions that come with it are very detailed, with part numbers and the like. I think that it goes without saying that most of the model will have to be left apart to make painting easier. I assembled the main superstructure of the aircraft and the cockpit separately. The cockpit will slide into the superstructure from the bottom where it will be glued in. The engines were also left apart because the jet engine is housed inside the engine cover as separate pieces. This will make it easier to paint the jet the metallic color and the cover the color of the rest of the aircraft (Olive grey in my case). The missile pods beneath the cockpit were left off as well as the twin-linked assault cannon on the nose.

All and all, I was impressed with this model. I am really looking forward to begin painting it tomorrow and I hope to get some pictures up as well.
